Legendary Australian captain Ricky Ponting’s big prediction about Asia Cup.

The former Auji star said on Friday that Rohit Sharma’s Indian team has the best chance of winning

the trophy in the upcoming Asia Cup by beating all opponents,

including Pakistan, more than once. India announced the 15-member squad for the high-voltage tournament earlier this week.

The competition starts from 27th August and arch rivals India and Pakistan will meet on the second day of the competition i.e. 28th August.

Ponting said in an interview recently, “It’s dangerous to face India in any competition now, not just in the Asia Cup.

I think the Indian team will start as favorites in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

The main reason for this is the depth of the Indian team compared to other teams in the World Cup and I also think that India will lift the Asia Cup trophy like last time.”
