Qatar World Cup time is approaching. Avid football fans are already busy to watch the game at the stadium, which is well reflected in FIFA’s ticket sales data.
FIFA said on Thursday (August 18) that organizers have so far sold 2.45 million tickets for the tournament in Qatar. Out of this, more than 5 lakh tickets were sold in the last phase from July 5 to 16.
According to FIFA, the most tickets allocated for the group stage are Brazil vs Cameroon, Brazil vs Serbia, Portugal vs Uruguay, Costa Rica vs Germany and Australia vs Denmark.
The highest response to digital ticket sales came from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United States, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, England, Argentina, Brazil, Wales and Australia.
FIFA also said the timing of the next phase of ticket sales will be announced by the end of September.
Tickets will also be available directly at the counters in Doha after the final phase of sales.
The World Cup will begin on November 20 with a match between the hosts Qatar and Ecuador. Keeping in mind the intense heat, this tournament has been taken in November-December. Where the Greatest Show on Earth is going to be held in a Muslim country in the Middle East for the first time.
